·OVERVIEW

~Vision Statement~

Mould is a Side-scrolling Life Simulation Game set in a city with beautiful views of snowy mountains, where you would help Agnes Yearwood go through her high school life. And life itself.

~Synopsis~

A new semester is about to begin. Agnes pulls out the expensive planner she bought and resolves to say goodbye to her current situation of being abandoned by her mother, poverty, and everything that's been falling apart. Players will take on the role of Agnes Yearwood as she spends her final two years of high school in Sliver Nest City. Besides dealing with schoolwork, carving wood sculptures, and figuring out how to make ends meet... let's just say her problems are a little bit more complicated than we might imagine.

There will be multiple endings.

A western city famous for its magnificent snow-capped mountain scenery and rich mineral resources. Skiing and mountain biking are the two most popular sports in the area.

·GAME MECHANICS

~No.1 Planner and Scheduling~

Agnes can use her planner to schedule and initiate actions for the upcoming round (with a total of 48 rounds). Each round corresponds to about two weeks in real time. The actions that can be scheduled in the planner are roughly divided into the following categories:

  1. School and Work: Players can decide whether to attend school, whether to work, and set work hours.
  2. After-School Activities: This includes carving wood sculptures, resting, studying, etc.
  3. To-Dos and Special Requests: Tasks like fixing broken furniture or buying daily necessities (these tasks appear on a timed basis and may require money; ignoring them may result in negative effects) as well as temporary special events.

In addition to scheduling the above activities, Agnes can also adjust her diet, review happended events, and check the calendar in the planner.

~No.2 Status and Needs~

The status bar displays Agnes's current condition, money, and to-do list. Agnes has four main needs: Energy, Hunger, Hygiene, and Mood (Happiness). Changes in these needs will affect her current condition. Performing corresponding actions or using special items can satisfy certain needs or stop negative conditions.

~No.3 Card Game~

At the start of each round, Agnes will randomly draw six event cards based on her experiences and state from the previous round. Players must choose four cards from these six to apply to the current round. The effects of the cards will impact various aspects, mainly divided into three types: affecting her condition (mainly mood), affecting efficiency, and affecting money. In addition to the six event cards, Agnes will also draw a grey card that influences the event cards themselves. Players can choose to apply or ignore the grey card.

~No.4 NPCs and Events~

Agnes will meet a variety of people in her life. By interacting with them, understanding their needs, and unlocking special stories, players can delve deeper into the world. Keep in mind that these stories may be heartwarming and touching, or they may be creepy or disgusting... Some stories may even influence the course of Agnes’s life.
